We are excited to announce that a bill the Wisconsin FOP has been working on for some time has been drafted and is ready to be introduced. This bill would change the laws related to John Doe prosecutions that have been weaponized and used against Wisconsin law enforcement officers who have been involved in, and cleared from, critical incidents. This change affects EVERY law enforcement officer in Wisconsin, current and former, who has ever or will ever be involved in a critical incident. Please read the below description of the bill and reach out to your Senator and Representative to encourage them to support and co-sponsor this important legislation.
